XXX-L ,

This latest body of work, titled 'XXX-L', catches Evergon in flagrante delicto with various partners. These works give a sense of intimacy that can leave the viewer slightly uncomfortable, not necessarily because of their overt sexual nature, but rather because one feels one is seeing a moment not intended for public consumption. This is juxtaposed with the fact that in several works the camera release cord is clearly visible, reminding us the artist had every intention of showing these images. This series of works explore several 'great taboos'™ in the Western culture: the viewing of sexually explicit imagery and the admission of doing so, the viewing of male arousal and of male penetration, and the Post-Rubens'™ viewing of the fat nude (plump women and men of girth). Evergon is also concerned with the crosshatching between images of internet pornography with the classical Icons of Western Art.
