Trilogy of the Rivers , 1990
With the help of The Canada Council, Evergon created these 3 images after spending eight months in Rome with his partner, Roberto Pane. Having critiqued other holograms, Evergon found the holographic medium fantastical but most of the images were naive and ‘plat’. He wanted to extend the images beyond the borders so one is left peeking at the edges. With the horizontal ‘3D’ motion of white light transmission and the vertical rainbow palette of development, 360 degrees action is implied.
